
Ducks topple Rampage 6-2 for ninth straight home win

CINCINNATI, Ohio - Zenon Konopka had two goals and an assist and Pierre Parenteau scored twice to lead the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks to a 6-2 win over the San Antonio Rampage Saturday in front of 8,611 at Cincinnati Gardens.
Kurtis Foster added a goal and an assist and Michael Holmqvist and Alexei Smirnov each chipped in with a pair of assists for the Ducks, who extended their franchise-record home winning streak to nine.
Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 21 shots for Cincinnati, which has earned points in six straight games (5-0-1-0), nine of its last 11 (8-2-1-0) and 14 of its last 18 (13-4-1-0).
Greg Jacina and Chris Nielsen scored goals for San Antonio, which lost its second in a row and fell to 2-4-0-0 in its last six.
Patrick DesRochers, a first-round pick by Phoenix in 1998, surrendered all six goals on 33 shots for the Rampage, who lost for the time in four tries against Cincinnati this season.
The Ducks complete a three-game homestand Sunday against San Antonio at 5:05 p.m. The game will be followed by a free post-game skate and autograph session with the entire Ducks team.
