The SeaWolves could not hold onto a pair of one-run leads as they dropped game two of Sunday's doubleheader to the Akron RubberDucks 3-2.
Erie took the lead in the top of the fourth inning against Akron reliever Nic Enright. Eric De La Rosa tripled with one out and scored on a Daniel Cabrera base hit for a 1-0 lead. The knock for Cabrera extended his hitting streak to six straight games.
Akron quickly tied the game in the home half of the fourth against Erie starter Adam Wolf. George Valera led off with a walk and advanced to second on a one-out Chris Roller walk. Eric Rodriguez singled to load the bases for Daniel Schneemann. Schneemann lifted a sacrifice fly to right, scoring Valera, tying the game.
Wolf would be done after four innings in a no-decision effort. He allowed a run on four hits with three walks and two strikeouts.
The SeaWolves regained the lead in the sixth against Akron reliever Kyle Marman. Gage Workman led off with a walk and stole second. Marman issued back-to-back one-out walks to Cabrera and Chris Rabago, loading the bases. Parker Meadows lifted a sacrifice fly to center, scoring Workman for a 2-1 lead.
