Dragons Receive Justin Reed; Means to Lynchburg

Dayton, Ohio-The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster moves today:

Outfielder Andrew Means has been promoted from Dayton to Lynchburg of the Carolina League.

Outfielder Justin Reed has been sent from Lynchburg to Dayton.

The Dragons roster remains at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.

A new roster is attached.

Means has appeared in 74 games with the Dragons this season, batting .253 with two home runs, 22 runs batted in, and 21 stolen bases.

Reed, a center fielder, has appeared in 25 games with Lynchburg this season, batting .158 with two home runs and five RBI. Reed played for the Dragons in 2008 and appeared 118 games, batting .239 with 11 home runs, 36 RBI, and 18 stolen bases. Reed was drafted by the Reds in the fourth round in 2006 out of Hillcrest Christian High School in Jackson, Mississippi.

The Dragons host the Lansing Lugnuts tonight at Fifth Third Field at 7:00 p.m. (1410 WING; www.daytondragons.com). This is game two of a three-game series.
