Fleece Blanket Giveaway, Food Specials and Fireworks Highlight Six-Game Home Stand Against Dayton St

Lake County Captains News Release


(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, return home for a six-game home stand beginning Saturday against the Dayton Dragons, an affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.

The first 1,500 fans will receive a Fleece Blanket Presented by Lake Health on Saturday. In addition, the Captains will host a jersey auction as the Captains will be wearing special Captains jersey's inspired by the1987-style Cleveland Indians jerseys. Proceeds of the auction will benefit the ALS Association and Captains Charities. A fireworks show will follow the 7 PM game, presented by Discount Drug Mart.

Sunday at 1 PM is a Family Fun Sunday presented by Andrews Osborne Academy which features a pre-game player autograph session, lots of concourse entertainment and the opportunity for kids to run the bases after the game. In addition, kids who are part of Skipper's Lil' Buddies Club will have the opportunity to announce players over the public address system and sit in the radio booth during the game. Kayleigh Collins, a well-regarded local 6-year-old singer, is scheduled to perform the National Anthem at the game.

Monday is PNC Buck Night, featuring 50-cent hot dogs and a $1 concession menu that includes fries, popcorn, onion rings, fountain soda and ten ounce domestic draft beer. Game time is 7 PM

After an off-day on Tuesday, the team resumes action on Wednesday at 7 PM game with a "Feed Your Face" night. For only $18, fans receive a game ticket and all-you-can-eat hot dogs, fries, onion rings, popcorn and chips.

Thursday, August 12 is a special start time of 11 AM.

Friday is a Fireworks Friday Night, presented by Plevin and Gallucci. Fans in attendance will enjoy a post-game fireworks extravaganza. It is Alzheimer's awareness night and fans are encouraged to bring pennies and donate them at the game in an effort to help raise 5.3 million pennies worldwide which represents the 5.3 million people living with Alzheimer's. Game time is 7 PM.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Fans may visit CaptainsBaseball.com for information on alternate routes to and from Classic Park during the current construction that is taking place on Route 91. The Captains are working with the City of Eastlake and ODOT to ensure the smoothest possible traffic flow for fans attending games at Classic Park until the construction is completed.
