Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the South Bend Silver Hawks (affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks) in the second game of a three-game series. The Dragons began the current road trip by splitting a four-game series at West Michigan.

Today's Dragons Starting Pitcher: Robert Stephenson makes his second start of the year for the Dragons. Stephenson was named by Baseball America as the #2 prospect in the Reds Organization entering the 2013 season...Also ranked as #2 prospect in Pioneer League in 2012...Baseball America also selected Stephenson as the Pitcher with the fastball and best curveball in the Reds organization...Selected with the 24th overall pick in the 2011 draft...Opened 2012 season in extended spring training before joining Billings at start of Pioneer League season...Joined Dragons on July 26...Ranked third in the Pioneer League in ERA at the time of his promotion to Dayton...Fastball registered 101 mph in first inning of first game with Dragons at Great Lakes...Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of California in 2011.

- Brent Peterson produced hits in his first six AB's of the season. He has hit safely in all three games he has appeared in, going 7 for 10, .700.

Team Notes

* There has not been a lead change in a Dragons game this season. In all five games, the winning team never trailed.

* In the Dragons two wins, their starting pitchers have combined to allow just one run in 12 innings. In their three losses, starting pitchers have allowed 10 runs in 9.1 innings.

* Dragons pitchers have struck out 50 batters in 43.1 innings (tied for third in the league, two behind the leader) while Dragons batters have struck out only 31 times (second fewest in MWL).

Home Opener: The Dragons home opener at Fifth Third Field is Thursday, April 11 vs. the Great Lakes Loons at 7:05 p.m. in the start to a four-game series. The game will be televised on WHIO Digital Channel 7.2 (Time Warner channels 23 and 372).
