Dragons Add Pitcher to Roster

Dayton, Ohio-The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster move today:

Right-handed pitcher Hector Santana has been promoted to Dayton from Billings of the Pioneer League.

The Dragons roster is currently at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.

Santana, 21, pitched in 10 games at Billings, posting a record of 0-1 with a 3.38 earned run average. He was originally signed by the Cincinnati Reds as an international free agent in 2004 as a 16-year-old third baseman. He was converted to pitcher prior to the 2006 season. Santana is a native of San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic.
