Your playoff bound Fresno Falcons earned one point last night in a 5-4 Overtime loss to the Evil Bakersfield Condors inching one point closer to the fourth and final "first round home ice" playoff spot behind Idaho. The Falcons play at Phoenix this Saturday, at Stockton on March 27th and return home for two games the weekend of March 30th and 31st.
Friday, March 30th is an Amtrak Battle of the 99 when the Evil Bakersfield Condors return to Fresno for their last regular season visit until playoff hockey. This game is being billed as a "regular season playoff game". All Fans are encouraged to bring tasteful "BEAT THE CONDORS" SIGNS to this playoff atmosphere regular season home game.
Saturday, March 31 your Falcons host the Phoenix Roadrunners at 7:30pm on Disco Night. One lucky fan will be chosen as the Disco Fan of the Game and receive the first place prize of $ 200.00 in cash. All fans who dress in "Disco" will be invited on to the ice for a Disco Dance at center ice during the intermission. This game also features a pre-game Falcons alumni hockey game to benefit the Fresno Jr. Falcons.
Falcons fans have raised more than $ 4000.00 in pledges for Falcons Fans for Operation Hope to benefit the Cornerstone Church relief efforts for the South Valley Freeze Victims. Fans are pledging dollar amounts per goal scored in the month of March. To date, the Falcons have scored 31 goals and have raised more than $ 4000 from the pledges already turned in. Fans may still donate by filling out a pledge form and returning their pledges to the Falcons offices. Go to www.fresnofalcons.com for more information.
