
Koopmans Named Goaltender of the Week

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Detroit Red
Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, announced today that goaltender Logan Koopmans
The Cranbrook, BC native was 2-0-0 last week with one shutout while stopping
68 of 69 shots faced. Logan knocked away all 27 Wheeling shots on March 16th
in a 6-0 win. Since returning to the Storm from an injury on March 2nd,
Koopmans has a record of 4-2-0 with a 2.34 goals against average and a .931
save percentage. For the season, Logan is 13-6-0 with a 2.65 GAA and a .919
SVP with a pair of shutouts. The 13 wins is a new career high for the fifth
round pick of the Detroit Red Wings in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He becomes the third different Storm goaltender to win this award in the
2006-07 season. Mike Brodeur won the award on January 23rd, while current
Storm goaltender Ervins Mustukovs won it the following week on January 30th. Great tickets are still available for all remaining home games by calling
