Bahensky returns to Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers announced today that Zdenek Bahensky was returned on loan from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.

A 21-year-old rookie, Bahensky has played in 13 AHL games with the Wolf Pack this season and has registered one assist and four penalty minutes. In 48 ECHL games with the Checkers, the 2004 third-round New York Ranger draftee (73rd overall) has scored eight goals and added 13 assists for 21 points, and has served 96 minutes in penalties.

The Checkers are on the road Friday and Sunday. The Checkers return home next week with games Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The first 3,000 fans on Thursday will receive set two of the Checkers "Limited Edition" Trading Cards presented by LastMinuteGolfer.com. Saturday features Dusty Jamieson bobblehead dolls to the first 2,000 fans presented by Presbyterian Hospital and team dentist Dr. Larry Seitlin. The first 2,000 fans on Sunday will receive Team Posters presented by the North Carolina Zoo, Colonial Properties Trust and K104.7 FM.
