Hartford, CT - Hartford right-hander Rico Garcia (W, 2-0) fanned a franchise-record 11 batters, leading the Yard Goats (12-14) to a 4-0 win over the Portland Sea Dogs (7-13) on Tuesday night at Dunkin' Donuts Park. Portland is now 3-2 on their six-game trip.

Garcia scattered four hits without a walk and fanned a career-high 11.

Dedgar Jimenez (L, 0-2) suffered his second straight loss to Garcia but had a strong outing. Jimenez tossed his second straight quality start, yielding just to runs on three hits, two walks, and six strikeouts.

Rayan Gonzalez worked the final 2.1 innings to secure his first save of the year.

Hartford scored their first run in the second inning when Vince Fernandez led off with a triple and scored on a double play.

The Yard Goats second run happened in the sixth inning on a solo-homer by Manny Melendez.

Jordan Weems gave up two runs in the eighth inning on a sac-fly by Chris Ianetta (MLB Rehab) and a double by Colton Welker.

Portland had five hits off Garcia and Gonzalez, but the top five went a combined 0 for 19. Aneury Tavarez went 2-for-3 and nailed his franchise-record 15th triple in the sixth. Tate Matheny, Jhon Nunez, and Luke Tendler added singles. Daniel McGrath tossed a perfect eighth with two strikeouts.

The Sea Dogs wrap-up a six-game trip against on Wednesday morning with a 10:35 AM start from Dunkin' Donuts Park. Lefty Kyle Hart (1-3, 2.74) makes his fifth start of the season for the Sea Dogs. Hartford has RHP Ashton Goudeau (1-1, 2.18) on the mound. Radio coverage on the WPEI U.S. Cellular Sea Dogs Radio Network begins at 10:20 AM with Mike Antonellis.
