Mankato MoonDogs News Release

The MoonDogs looked to get some revenge on the Waterloo Bucks who have handed them their most recent two losses.

Kolby Kiser took the mound for the MoonDogs for his first start after extending his contract to the full season.

The Bucks would strike first putting two up in the second. The Dogs would not take long to respond as the third would be the inning they have been looking for.

Brody Harding started it off being hit by a pitch on the first pitch. Easton Fritcher sent one deep with a double that confused the outfield. Ty Rumsey would keep things moving with a single scoring one. Kip Fougerousse would send one deep off the wall cleaning up the bases. Brendan Hord would give the fans their money's worth as he let his frustration out on the ball sending a clear moonshot from the swing of the bat.

Harding would continue thing in the next inning as he would double one that would roll out of the park for a ground rule double. Rumsey would keep his stellar day going as he tattooed a ball to the wall. Rumsey would not let up and turned a solid double into a triple.

Max Williams would start the fifth inning out with one of his signature doubles. Kai Roberts would not let the work of Williams go to waste with a well-placed single getting him across the plate.

Rumsey would start the sixth inning with a walk before the Bucks would intentionally walk Fougerousse. Williams would do what he does and sends a double out to the center field wall. Scoring Rumsey and Fougerousse. Roberts, in the same spot he found himself in the last inning would place one past the first and second baseman to get Williams across the plate of the tenth run of the night.

The MoonDogs would not stop there as they would add another run in the ninth for security.

The MoonDogs would not have made it to this position without the solid showings by all the pitchers. Kiser would give the MoonDogs five innings with five strikeouts. RJ Elmore gave 2 strong innings striking out two. Jalen Martinez would come in for one and striking out three. Peter Michael would end the night with two strikeouts for twelve on the night.

The MoonDogs and Bucks face off tomorrow at 6:35 P.M. at ISG Filed.
