
dEAf PEdESTRIANS to Perform Post-game February 15

Peoria, Ill. (January 17, 2008) - Peoria Rivermen President Bart Rogers announced today, in conjunction with 105.7 The X Rocks!, that the dEAf PEdESTRIANS, recently signed by Virgin Records, will perform in a post-game concert on Friday, February 15, when the Rivermen battle the San Antonio Rampage at 7:00 PM.
dEAf PEdESTRIANS will release their major-label debut ...And Other Distractions with Virgin Records on February 12, three days prior to their Peoria performance. The Dallas-based rockers' boast the up-and-coming single "Hail to the Geek," which is soon to receive major radio airplay. The song has been licensed for the MTV show My Super Sweet 16 as well as The CW's Beauty and the Geek.
"The timing could not have been more perfect to secure the dEAf PEdESTRIANS with their Virgin Records signing," Rogers said. "We want to thank Regent Broadcasting, and especially Program Director Matt Bahan at 105.7 The X Rocks!, for having their ears to the ground on one of the hottest new rock bands.
"We have at least four more major announcements forthcoming in the next week or so," Rogers added. "We look forward to entertaining Central Illinois this winter and spring. It's going to be a lot of fun."
The Rivermen host the San Antonio Rampage on Tuesday, January 22 at 7:00 PM. It's a Nesquik "Two for Tuesday," on which fans receive Buy One, Get One Free Upper Bowl Ticket offer by presenting a blue Nesquik cap or UPC at the Peoria Civic Center Box Office prior to the game. On Saturday, January 26, Kitchen Cooked Potato Chips presents Hannah Montana star 'Jackson,' Jason Earles, from the Disney Channel, who will appear and sign autographs from 6-8:30 PM. It is co-partnered by 97.3 RiverCountry, Comcast and Journal Star E-Z Pay. The first 5,000 fans will receive a Rivermen collectors', commemorative Team Photo, as part of Caterpillar Night, and it is Meliss' Beauty & Grooming Source "Haircuts of Charity" to benefit Children's Hospital of Illinois. The Rivermen will face off against the Milwaukee on Saturday, January 26 at 7:00 PM.
