Crunch Sign Brett Motherwell

Syracuse, NY (January 17, 2008) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed defenseman Brett Motherwell to an American Hockey League contract.

Motherwell, 21, has appeared in 21 games for the Crunch this season, collecting 1 goal, 7 assists and 18 penalty minutes. A native of St. Charles, Illinois, Motherwell was originally signed by Syracuse to an amateur tryout contract on November 15, 2007.

The Crunch's next game is Friday, January 18 as they travel to Binghamton to take on the Senators. The Crunch's next home game is Saturday, January 19 vs. Lake Erie at the War Memorial at Oncenter at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473- 4444, stopping by the Oncenter Box Office, located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling TicketMaster at (315) 472-0700.
