AHL announces suspension

January 17, 2008 - American Hockey League (AHL) News Release


SPRINGFIELD, Mass. . The American Hockey League today announced that Manitoba Moose defenseman Zack FitzGerald has been suspended for two (2) regular-season games as a result of his actions during an AHL game at Houston on Jan. 12.

FitzGerald was assessed a match penalty under AHL Rule 47.14 at 16:33 of the first period.

FitzGerald has completed serving the suspension, missing Manitoba's games on Sunday (Jan. 13) and Tuesday (Jan. 15) at San Antonio.
