Dave Matthews Concert Guidelines

Charleston RiverDogs News Release


Those attending the July 4 Dave Matthews Concert at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park should be reminded of the following rules and regulations:

Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park Rules

- No re-entry;

- No outside food or beverage;

- No coolers;

- No chairs;

- No body surfing;

- Those wishing to consume alcohol must present a valid, government-issued picture ID with a birth date on it to receive a wristband which will allow you to purchase and/or consume alcohol.

Tickets

- Tickets are either General Admission or Reserved Seats within the main seating bowl;

- Those wishing to enter must bring valid ticket for entry;

- Those with lost or damaged tickets should contact eTix at 1-800-514-ETIX (3849).

Parking

- Public parking lots surrounding Riley Park open at 3 pm on the day of the show (July 4), close at 1 am and costs $5 per vehicle;

- All City of Charleston ordinances will be enforced including the violation of open containers of alcohol outside the park and in the parking areas.

Miscellaneous

- The Ashley River bridges will not open to boat traffic between 10:15 pm - 12:15 am;

- Horizon Street (behind the Police Station) can be used as a pick up location after the concert (Police encourage the use of Hagood Avenue to Line Street to Horizon Street);

- Tailgating will be permitted (after 3 pm); however, open containers of alcohol are not permitted.
