
Cyclones Unveil 2012-13 Schedule

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today their 2012-13 regular season schedule.
For the first time since the 2006-07 season, the Cyclones will open the season at home. On Saturday, October 13, Cincinnati will welcome in the Wheeling Nailers for Opening Night at 7:30pm. Prior the game, the Cyclones will hold the second-annual Power Play 5K Run/Walk to benefit the Pink Ribbon Girls.
In its 25th Anniversary Season, the ECHL has welcomed in four new teams - three of which the Cyclones will face in 2012-13. The Ft. Wayne Komets, Evansville Icemen, and Orlando Solar Bears will all battle the Cyclones for Eastern Conference supremacy while the San Francisco Bulls join a nine-team Western Conference field. Collectively, Cincinnati will face their new conference foes a total of 24 times during the regular year.
The Cyclones will play every team in the Eastern Conference at least once throughout the course of the regular season. Cincinnati's most frequent foe will be the Evansville Icemen, who it will play a total of 12 times between October and March. The Cyclones face Ft. Wayne on 10 occasions, and Toledo and Kalamazoo eight times apiece.
The daily breakdown of games is as follows:
Mondays: 2 games (1 home, 1 away)
Tuesdays: 3 games (3 home, 0 away)
Wednesdays: 10 games (8 home, 2 away)
Thursdays: 3 games (3 home, 0 away)
Fridays: 23 games (10 home, 13 away)
Saturdays: 23 games (11 home, 12 away)
Sundays: 8 games (0 home, 8 away)
There will be a pair of day games in this year's schedule. The 2012 Education in Hockey Day will take place at U.S. Bank Arena on Tuesday, November 13 against the South Carolina Stingrays at 10:30am. On Monday, February 18, the Cyclones will celebrate President's Day with a special 2:00pm opening face-off against the Kalamazoo Wings. All other home contests are scheduled to begin at 7:30pm.
