Idaho Releases '12-'13 Schedule

May 30, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)
Idaho Steelheads News Release

Boise, ID (5/30/12) - The Idaho Steelheads released their schedule for the 2012-13 season, its tenth in the ECHL, on Wednesday. The 72-game slate will open at home on October 12 when the Utah Grizzlies visit CenturyLink Arena and conclude on March 30 in Stockton.

The team's 36-game home schedule includes the first-ever visit from the expansion San Francisco Bulls on February 12 - 13. It also includes the second-ever visit from the Gwinnett Gladiators of the Eastern Conference. The Gladiators come to Boise on March 8 - 9 to face the Steelheads, the first time they've been in the Gem State since competing against Idaho in the then-Bank of America Centre in the 2004 ECHL National Conference Finals. The Steelheads defeated the Gladiators, three games to one, in a best-of-five series en route to the 2004 Kelly Cup championship.

The Steelheads will also make an eastern swing this season, its first such venture since early in the 2008-09 season, when the team went 2-1-1 on a four-game swing through Elmira, Reading, and Trenton. Idaho will visit South Carolina (January 25) and Gwinnett (January 26-27).

Defending Western Conference champion Las Vegas, who knocked Idaho out of the 2012 ECHL Kelly Cup playoffs in the conference semifinals, will make two visits to CenturyLink Arena, November 23-24 and December 22. Long-time rival Alaska makes three stops in Boise - November 21, December 12, and January 18-19.

Utah leads the way in visits to Boise with seven games at CenturyLink Arena, followed by Bakersfield, Colorado, and Ontario (five each). Alaska and San Francisco play in Boise four times apiece while Las Vegas comes in for three games. Gwinnett will play in Boise twice and, in a scheduling oddity, the Stockton Thunder will play just one game at CenturyLink Arena (November 14) during the regular season.

Season Ticket packages are available now, starting at just $275 per seat for all 36 home games. Partial-season packages start at as little as $150 for fans who want a little more flexibility. Contact the Idaho Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 for more information.
