Everblades Announce 2012-13 Schedule

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades have announced the team's game schedule for the 2012-2013 regular season. The Everblades will play a 72-game schedule, which is comprised of 36 home and 36 road dates. The complete schedule and a home and away schedule have been attached to this release.
The Everblades will begin defending their ECHL title at home on Saturday, October 13 against the expansion Orlando Solar Bears. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. The game will mark the first of 16 meetings between the two in-state rivals during the season.
The home schedule features a six-game home stand, and two five-game home stands. On February 22 & 23 at Germain Arena, fans will have the opportunity to see the Evansville Icemen, who joined the ECHL from the Central Hockey a couple of weeks ago.
The Blades will also play new opponents for the first time in franchise history, with road games against the Colorado Eagles on November 21, 23, 24, and the Fort Wayne Komets on March 8 & 9.
Forty-eight (48) of the 72 games will be played against South Division opponents. Florida will play 14 of its home games on Saturday, 13 on Friday, 7 on Wednesday, and two on Tuesday. All Weekday and Friday home games begin at 7:30 pm, while all Saturday home dates begin at 7:00 p.m.
