Cincinnati Cyclones News Release

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators, are gearing up for their annual 'Education In Hockey Day' games. The EIHD program encompasses math, science, physical education and geography around a Cyclones regular season hockey game. This year, the program will run during the intermissions of the games on Wednesday, February 6 against Mississippi and Wednesday, March 19, 2008 versus Johnstown. Both games are slated for 10am starts.

Last season, 3500 students showed up for the single game event. This season, more than 4200 students have signed up for the two games-with more than 2600 already expected for the March 19 game. The program has spread out across the region, as schools as far north as Troy, as far south as Lexington, KY, as far east as Hillsboro and as far west as Batesville, IN and Charlottesville, IN will be at one of the games. A total of 32 schools from 27 districts in three states will be participating in the program.

Schools still have an opportunity to get great seats and attend this one of a kind program. The seats are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and final counts for the event will not be due until after Jan. 1. Those interested in getting their school on board, or finding out more information, are asked to contact John Hamel at 513-421-7825, x. 139 for more details.
