TONIGHT'S MATCHUP:
For the second time in as-many nights, the Cyclones will face a team they've already played this season. The Wings took both games from Cincinnati on October 23 and 24...winning 3-2 in OT and 4-3 in a shootout. In the Sunday matinee, the 'Clones posted their highest shot output of the season...sending 34 pucks onto Ryan Nie.
SCOUTING THE WINGS:
The Wings come into tonight's game second in the North Division with a 3-2-0-1 record. However, after a 3-0 start, Kalamazoo has dropped three straight games - including a shootout loss against Florida their last time out. They have allowed a combined 13 goals in the last three games.
GETTING THEIR SHOTS:
Despite the record, the Cyclones are still getting a fair amount of chances. They are averaging 28 shots per game and have outshot their opponent in 4 of their 7 games this season.
RIDING ANOTHER STREAK:
While the 'Clones have gotten points from 15 different players, forward Mathieu Aubin has become a consistent contributor to the stat sheet. He comes into tonight's game on a 6-game point scoring streak. He has a 1 goal and 5 assists in that stretch.
BACK TO THE ROAD:
After tonight's tilt, the Cyclones will hit the road for a Friday meeting with the Trenton Devils and Saturday reunion with the Wheeling Nailers.
