Gwinnett's Bendickson Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Rookie of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Gwinnett Gladiators forward Aaron Bendickson has been selected as the Reebok Hockey ECHL Rookie of the Month for October.

The 23 year old played four games with Gwinnett scoring two goals and adding seven assists to help the Gladiators start the season 5-0-2. Bendickson had a four-game scoring streak and three multi- point games before being loaned to Rochester of the American Hockey League on Oct. 27. He scored his first professional goal in his pro debut at Florida on Oct. 15, and tallied a career-high four assists and was +5 in a 6-2 win over South Carolina on Oct. 22.

He has appeared in two games with Rochester tallying six penalty minutes.

Bendickson played the last four seasons for the University of Wisconsin where he had 40 points (20g-20a) in 147 games, including a career-high 22 points (12g-10a) in 43 games as a senior.

Runners Up: Jordan Fulton, Kalamazoo (6gp, 3g, 3a, 6 pts) and Riley Gill, Victoria (3-0-0, 1.33 GAA, .955 save pct.).

Also Nominated: Carter Smith (Bakersfield), Eric Lampe (Elmira), Tyler Beskorowany (Idaho), Aaron Lewadniuk (Ontario), Andy Bohmbach (Toledo) and Chris Donovan (Utah).
