PARROTHEAD NIGHT
Tonight's Matchup: 48 hours removed from a thrilling 4-3 win, the Cyclones are back in Evansville tonight in hopes of repeating history as they close out the first half of the 2014-15 campaign. Cincinnati has taken four of the five regular season match-ups with their Hoosier State foes, however, Saturday's victory was the closest that any of them have finished.
Scouting the IceMen: With Saturday night's defeat, Al Sims' club has dropped four consecutive games and remains 10 points back of the Cyclones in the North Division standings. Brandon Wong added an assist in the latest match-up with Cincinnati to remain atop the IceMen scoring leaderboard with 13 goals and 15 assists this season. Kale Kerbashian added a helper as well and now has amassed 27 points (9g, 18a) in 36 contests. Chris Driedger has been the go-to-guy in net for Evansville, appearing in 26 games and has earned a 7-16-1-1 record with a 3.56 goals-against average. Scott Greenham, who was beaten by Cincinnati last Wednesday, is now 1-3-0 with a 3.27 GAA.
Last Time Out: Josh Shalla's late third period goal proved to be the game-winner as the Cyclones defeated the IceMen by a 4-3 final score in front of 9,391 at Ford Center on Saturday night. It was Shalla's first game-winner of the season and tenth as a member of the Cyclones.
Offense by Committee: Cincinnati has been far from a one-man team this season. In fact, all but one player on the active roster has registered at least a point this season. Even more impressively, 20 different Cyclones skaters have posted multi-point games.
Get Him the Puck: Rookie forward Stephan Vigier has seemed to have the magic touch for Cincinnati. The Clones are a staggering 10-2-0-1 when #11 puts his name on the scoresheet in some capacity and 6-1 when he lights the lamp.
