DULUTH, Ga. - The 12-20-1-1 Gladiators return to The Arena at Gwinnett Center today for their earliest game of the season - a 12:35 p.m. matinee game against the Indy Fuel (9-21-4-3). This will be the first time the two teams have met as Indy is an expansion franchise to the ECHL this season. The two will meet again in a little over a week on January 28th in Indianapolis.
Last time out, the Gladiators thrashed the Everblades 7-2 in Estero, Fla. on Saturday night. It was Gwinnett's largest win of the season, and the first time they put seven goals on the board since April 12, 2014. The Gladiators' ECHL All-Star representative, Brenden Walker, tallied two goals, while Sean Berkstresser added a goal and two assists. Goaltender Kent Patterson made 26 saves in his Gladiators debut.
Glads Notes:

Easy Lee-zy: Goaltender Mike Lee was recalled by the Arizona Coyotes to the NHL on Wednesday, the Gladiators' first in-season call-up since 2009. He is the fifth Gladiator to make the jump in the same season as his time with Gwinnett, the other four are all goaltenders: Adam Munro (to Chicago, 2004-05), Adam Berkhoel (to Atlanta, 2005-06), Mike Dunham (to Atlanta, 2005-06), and Dan Turple (to Atlanta, 2008-09).
Walk On: Brenden Walker was named as an alternate to the 2015 ECHL All-Star Classic on Thursday. The second-year forward was rewarded for his 20-point (seven goals, 13 assists) season, through 26 games played.
