Cyclones Add Pair of Defensemen
January 28, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)
Cincinnati Cyclones News Release
HOFFMAN ESTATES, Illinois - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that they have added defensemen Chris Clark and Derek Foam.
Clark will be making his second stint with the Cyclones, as he logged ice time in eight games with the club in 2008-09 but did not register a point. He most recently appeared with the Wheeling Nailers, where he posted an assist in seven contests earlier this season. Collectively as a pro, the six-foot-three rear guard has amassed 31 points (10 goals, 21 assists) in 108 professional games.
Foam will be making his ECHL debut tonight after starting his pro career in the CHL with the Tulsa Oilers. In 28 games with the Oilers, the 23-year-old notched a pair of assists and eight penalty minutes. Prior to going pro, he was a four-year starter at Niagara University where he posted 23 points (5 goals, 18 assists) in 89 collegiate games.
Both defensemen are expected to be in the lineup tonight for Cincinnati.
The Cyclones are back in Chicago to resume their series with the Express tonight at Sears Centre beginning at 8:30pm ET. Fans can hear all the action on the Cyclones Radio Network (1050-AM, America One) starting at 8:15pm ET.
The Cyclones will return to U.S. Bank Arena on Wednesday, February 1 as they welcome in the Toledo Walleye at 7:30pm. It will be another Wet Wednesday, where fans 21 and up can enjoy $1 PBR and Miller High Life! In addition, there will be another "Pucks N Pinot" pre game wine tasting event available for purchase.
