
Cutters win fourth straight

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Crosscutters used a twelve hit attack to defeat the Vermont Lake Monsters in the opening game of a 3-game series Wednesday night at Susquehanna Bank Park at Bowman Field.
Matt Shortall paced the Cutters offense by going 3 for 4 with a double and 3 RBI.
Cutters starting pitcher David Whitehead (2-1) had another solid outing pitching into the sixth inning allowing three earned runs on five hits while striking out three.
Delvi Francisco locked down his first save as a Cutter in 2014 with a perfect ninth inning.
