Lowell Spinners News Release
Rough Road: It was a road trip to forget for the Spinners as they went just 1-4, getting swept by the Tri-City ValleyCats over the Fourth and splitting with Vermont over the last two games...The Spinners had a chance to return on a high-note, taking both from the Lake Monsters, but could not hold onto a ninth inning lead, losing in walk-off Fashion Tuesday afternoon...The loss dropped the Spinners into a tie for second in the Stedler Division, four games behind the division leading ValleyCats.
McAvoy Debuts : RHP Kevin McAvoy, a 2014 4th round draft pick out of Bryant University, made his professional debut Tuesday morning, pitching two scoreless innings, allowing two hits while striking out one...By getting into the mix, McAvoy now lines up to start when the Spinners participate in the Futures at Fenway Sunday afternoon ...
