Cutters Stun Spikes in Walk off Fashion 7-6

The Williamsport Crosscutters plated six runs in the bottom of the ninth inning after falling behind 6-1 against State College Saturday night. The Cutters tied the game up 1-1 in the fifth inning after Jan Hernandez connected for his first home run of the season. The game would see 10 runs scored in the ninth inning between the two teams.

The Cutters got 5 2/3 innings out of starter Franklyn Kilome who was spectacular in his eventual no decision. Kilome's only blemish on the night was a solo home run given up to Ronnierd Garcia in the third inning. Kilome scattered three hits while walking two batters and striking out four. With the walk off win Feliberto Sanchez picked up his first win of the season after facing three batters in the top of the ninth inning allowing two hits and one run to score.

Jose Pujols finished the night 4 for 4 including a triple and Venn Biter went 2 for 4 on the night with his first grand slam in a Cutters uniform. Grenny Cumana saved his biggest at bat of the night for the ninth inning as he finished 1 for 5 with two RBI on the game winning single. Jan Hernandez put together a 2 for 4 effort while joining in on the fun in the ninth inning.
