Williamsport Crosscutters News Release

Mother Nature helped the Crosscutters take the middle game of a 3-game series with Tri-City Sunday night at Susquehanna Bank Park at Bowman Field 5-0.

As the game moved to the bottom of the fifth inning and the Valley Cats had made the call to the bullpen the skies opened with a series of heavy rain and thunderstorms stopped the game.

Cutters starting pitcher Matt Imhof (1-0) picks up his first win as a professional since being drafted in the second round of the 2014 draft. Imhof scattered three hits a walk and three strikeouts.

Aaron Brown hit his second homer in as many days with a two out solo shot to left field in the first inning putting the Cutters in front 1-0.

With two on and two out, Drew Stankiewicz hit his first home run as a Crosscutter inside the fair/foul pole down the right field line to make it 5-0 Cutters.

WP: Matt Imhof (1-0)

LP: Francis Ramirez (1-4)

Cutters Record: 17-13

Next Game: Monday, July 14, 2014 vs. Tri-City, 7:05 p.m.
