Altoona Curve News Release

The dog days of summer are here and the Curve invite you to Blair County Ballpark to enjoy the summertime fun as the Altoona Curve prepare to open a six-game homestand starting on Friday at 7:05 p.m.

The Curve return home to BCB winners of nine out of their last 14 games and look to continue their torrid pace as they kick off the month of August.

The Bowie Baysox (Double-A/Baltimore Orioles) are in town to start things off with a three-game set, followed by a trio of games against the Akron Aeros (Double-A/Cleveland Indians).

Highlighting the homestand will be a pair of fireworks shows on Friday and Sunday. Sandwiched in between on Saturday, The Curve will give away the third edition of their Tenth Anniversary Photo Ball to the first 2,000 fans of all ages through the gates.

Starting the work week on Monday against Akron will be the Blair County Ballpark debut of the very entertaining and nationally featured Dave the Horn Guy. All dogs will be welcome to take in a Curve game on Tuesday as part of Hank's Bark in the Park Night, featuring an appearance from Rockin' Ray and Skyy Dogs USA.

The homestand will wrap up on Wednesday. The Curve are pleased to announce that Josh Bonifay, one of the greatest players to ever wear a Curve uniform, will return to meet with fans and sign autographs on Wednesday.

That's barely scratching the surface of what's on tap at the BCB over the next six days. Below is the complete listing of promotions set to occur during the Curve's August 1-6 homestand at Blair County Ballpark:
