
Curve Head into All-Star Break with Finale Loss against Baysox

CURVE, Pa. - After grabbing the first two games in the series, the Altoona Curve ended up splitting the four-game set against the Bowie Baysox with a 6-2 loss on Monday afternoon at Peoples Natural Gas Field. Adam Frazier extended his hitting streak to a career-best 15 games with a single in the third inning.
With the loss, the Curve (48-42) head into the All-Streak Break two games behind the first-place Baysox (50-39) in the Eastern League's Western Division.
Bowie jumped on Altoona starter Zack Dodson (Loss, 4-5) early in the second inning when Garabez Rosa hit a two-run double that brought Quincy Latimore and Rossmel Perez in to score.
The Baysox grabbed another run in the third inning with an RBI single by Brandon Snyder. Trey Mancini connected for his second home run of the series, a solo shot to put Bowie in front 4-0.
The Curve would break the shutout with an RBI single by Dan Gamache, his third hit of the game against Baysox starter Terry Doyle (Win 10-1). Stetson Allie hit his 13th home run in the eighth, a solo homer to tie the league lead.
Dodson finished the afternoon pitching six frames while allowing four runs and striking out five. Reliever John Kuncho pitched two scoreless innings, allowing one hit.
Frazier and Gamache will join Max Moroff, Josh Bell and Jason Creasy to represent the Curve at the Eastern League All-Star Game in Portland on Wednesday night.
The Curve return to action on Thursday's night against the Richmond Flying Squirrels. First pitch from The Diamond is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Tyler Glasnow (3-2, 2.45) will start for the Curve. Richmond's starter has not yet been announced.
