LAST GAME: The B-Mets tossed their eighth shutout of the year, beating Portland, 3-0, Sunday afternoon at Hadlock Field. Seth Lugo earned his fourth win, going the first five frames. Four B-Met relievers then pitched an inning each, allowing a total of one hit in the win. Aderlin Rodriguez got the B-Mets on the board in the second, hitting his 10th home run of the season. Josh Rodriguez would go 3-for-4 with his 55th RBI of the season.
BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Gabriel Ynoa is making his 16th start of the season and third against Portland. Ynoa has pitched eight or more innings in three straight starts for the first time in his career. The righty is coming off a loss against New Britain, allowing three runs in seven innings. He's 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA against Portland this season and 3-1 in four career starts. Ynoa has a 1.63 ERA in his last five starts, going 3-2.
PORTLAND STARTER: RHP Mike Augliera is making his 17th start of the season and fourth against Binghamton. He is 1-2 against Binghamton this season with a 7.24 ERA, and 1-5 with a 6.34 ERA in six career starts. Augliera is coming off a loss, allowing six runs and eight hits in 3.1 innings against Reading. He is 0-5 with a 7.24 ERA in his seven starts since May 30th.
HADLOCK LOCKDOWN: Binghamton has won 11 consecutive games at Hadlock Field, dating back to last postseason. The B-Mets have outscored Portland 77-27 in the 11 games, holding the Sea Dogs to one run or less in four of the last six games at Hadlock Field. Portland won six of 10 at NYSEG Stadium, having their last two series wins come there. The only time Binghamton has gone undefeated in a road stadium for a season was 2010, when they were 6-0 in Akron. It's the first time Binghamton has won nine games at Hadlock Field in a season. The B-Mets were 94-101 all-time at Hadlock Field before the current winning streak.
HOME AWAY FROM HOME: Binghamton is batting .294 at Hadlock Field this season. They are hitting .259 at home and .245 at all other EL stadiums.
VS. PORTLAND: A win Monday would be Binghamton's 14th against Portland this year, the most against the Sea Dogs in a single season. Binghamton won 13 in 2013 (13-7) and 2012 (13-6).
POWER UP: Binghamton has hit eight home runs in their last nine games. They had hit one in their previous seven games. The B-Mets are 30-13 when homering in a game this season.
NEW ERA: The B-Mets have a 1.95 ERA in their first 12 games of July, going 7-5. It's the best ERA in the league for the month.
BACK-TO-BACK: The B-Mets have won back-to-back series for the first time since winning seven consecutive games, 6/11-6/18, including a sweep in Portland.
STRONG LIKE A BULL(PEN): The B-Mets bullpen has not allowed a run in seven games, tossing 18 scoreless innings. The 'pen has allowed 10 baserunners, while striking out 13. A Binghamton reliever has allowed a run in just one of the B-Mets last 11 games.
RISP: Portland is 0-for-13 with men in scoring position over the last two games. They hit .333 in those situations in the seven games prior.
STRONG FINISH: The B-Mets have now won their final series before the All-Star break in four of the past five years.
NEXT GAME PREVIEW: The B-Mets are off for the All-Star break. They return to action with a four game series against Trenton that begins Thursday night at NYSEG Stadium with a 6:35 PM first pitch.
