Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL have announced that forward Luke Curtin has been loaned to Bridgeport of the American Hockey League. Curtin is expected to join the Sound Tigers immediately, and will make his Bridgeport debut Friday in Philadelphia.
Curtin, 26, becomes the latest in a series of AHL call-ups that has completely revamped the Bullies roster in the last three weeks. The Roseville, MN native receives his first AHL promotion this season, and his first since 2001-02 when he skated in 2 games for the Providence Bruins. Curtin leads the Bullies with 33 goals and 45 assists, and his 78 points currently place him fourth in the ECHL scoring race. He recently set career-highs for goals and points in a single season.
Curtin becomes the 12th Bullies player this season to be called up to the AHL, and a franchise-record eighth player from Atlantic City currently on an AHL roster. He joins goaltender Jake Moreland (Worcester), defensemen Kirk Furey (Philadelphia), Brian Fahey (Hershey), and Steve Munn (Bridgeport), and forwards Jim Henkel (Lowell), Alexandre Jacques (Milwaukee), and Sam Paolini (Rochester) as current Bullies playing in the AHL.
With the Bullies on their way to the postseason, tickets for the 2004 ECHL Kelly Cup playoffs are on sale now. 13-game playoff packages start as low as $156. All unplayed game tickets can be applied toward ticket packages for the 2004-05 season. Individual playoff tickets for first round games are also on sale now, starting at $12.
