After combining for 32 shots in the opening period, Gwinnett and Alaska totaled 10 in the middle stanza with the Gladiators outshoot the Aces 7-3 in the second period.
Jim Jackson pushed the Gladiators lead to 4-0 with a slap shot from the right point that clanked off the goalpost and past Murphy. Evan Nielsen and Kris Goodjohn added the assists on the goal at 3:40 of the final period.
Kevin Doell capped the scoring at 6:44 of the third as the center man walked untouched out of the left wing corner and jammed the puck past Murphy. Anthony Aquino and Brandon Dietrich worked the puck to Doell in the corner to add the assists on the goal.
