
Currie Earns First NHL Recall to Edmonton

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. The Bakersfield Condors announced today that RW Josh Currie has earned his first NHL recall to the Edmonton Oilers. Should he play, Currie would become the fifth Condors player to make his NHL debut this season. In related moves, the Oilers placed RW Jesse Puljujarvi and C Jujhar Khaira on injured reserve while activating D Andrej Sekera. Edmonton hosts Arizona on Tuesday night.

In 49 games played this season, he leads the Condors in goals with 24 and has 13 assists for 37 points
Tied for fourth in the AHL with 24 goals and second in the league in game-winning goals with seven
Recorded three consecutive 20-goal seasons (2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19) and led the Condors in scoring last season with 46 points (20g-26a)
Signed his first NHL contract with Edmonton on July 18, 2018

He is the Condors (AHL) all-time leader in games played (237), assists (67), points (143)

The Condors have won 15 consecutive games, becoming just the seventh team in the 83-year history to accomplish that feat. Bakersfield can tie the 1984-85 Baltimore Skipjacks with 16 straight wins on Saturday in Tucson at 6 p.m.
