Curran, Matecha Named to NHL Central Scouting's Midterm Rankings

KENNEWICK, WA - NHL Central Scouting released their midterm rankings for the 2024 NHL Draft today and two Americans players are on the list.
Center Maxmilian Curran is ranked 26th amongst North American skaters and goaltender Lukas Matecha is ninth for North American goaltenders.
Curran, from Praha, Czechia, was drafted 39th overall by the Americans in the 2023 CHL Import Draft. Through 36 games played with the Americans, Curran has totaled 27 points (four goals, 23 assists).
Matecha, from Paradubice, Czechia, is also in his first season with the Americans after being selected 99th in the 2023 CHL Import Draft. Through 20 games played he has a 9-8-1-1 record with a 2.71 goals-against average and .915 save percentage.
The 2024 NHL Draft is scheduled for June 28 and 29 in Las Vegas, Nev.
The Americans next home game is January 19 against the Seattle Thunderbirds.
