Crunch Sign Left Wing Matt Greer; Columbus Reassigns Goaltender Sebastian Dahm

Syracuse, NY (April 6, 2009) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed left wing Matt Greer to an amateur tryout contract. In addition, the Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned goaltender Sebastian Dahm from Johnstown (ECHL) to Syracuse.

Greer, 23, appeared in 40 games with Minnesota-Duluth (WCHA) this season, tallying five goals, two assists and 30 penalty minutes.

A native of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota, Greer was drafted by Columbus in the eighth round, 233rd overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

Dahm, 22, has appeared in 24 games with the Crunch this season, going 10-11-0 with a 2.66 goals against average and .914 save percentage. He also skated in five games with Johnstown (ECHL) this year, going 3-2-0 with a 4.99 goals against average and .844 save percentage.

A native of Copenhagen, Denmark, Dahm was signed by the Crunch to an American Hockey League contract on September 1, 2008.
