
Crunch Sign Defenseman Sam Roberts And Left Wing Tom Zanoski

Syracuse, NY (April 6, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed defenseman Sam Roberts and left wing Tom Zanoski each to a professional tryout contract.
Roberts, 25, appeared in 70 games with Gwinnett (ECHL) this season, posting 10 goals, 30 assists and 65 penalty minutes. In addition, he has skated in two games with Lake Erie this year, recording two penalty minutes. A native of St. John's Newfoundland, Roberts spent four years at St. Francis Xavier University (AUS) from 2005-09 before joining the professional ranks, tallying 14 goals, 56 assists and 132 penalty minutes in 109 games.
Zanoski, 26, appeared in 42 games with Gwinnett this season, totaling 25 goals, 22 assists and 60 penalty minutes. In addition, he has skated in 21 combined AHL games with Albany, Binghamton, Lake Erie and Toronto this year, notching two goals, four assists and 15 penalty minutes. A native of Brampton, Ontario, Zanoski spent parts of three seasons at Dalhousie University (AUS) from 2005-08 before joining the professional ranks, collecting 22 goals, 38 assists and 128 penalty minutes in 66 games.
