Syracuse, NY (January 30, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have released center Charlie Kronschnabel from his professional tryout contract.

Kronschnabel, 26, has appeared in four games with Syracuse this season, making his Crunch debut on December 29 at Texas. In addition, he has skated in 35 games with Reading (ECHL) this year, totaling seven goals, nine assists and 27 penalty minutes.

A native of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, Kronschnabel has appeared in 52 combined AHL games with the Crunch, Portland and Iowa, tallying two goals, six assists and 19 penalty minutes.

Tickets are on sale now for the Mirabito Outdoor Classic, the AHL's first-ever outdoor game featuring the host Syracuse Crunch and the Binghamton Senators on February 20, 2010 at the New York State Fairgrounds at 1 p.m. Individual tickets can be purchased for $30 or $40 each. Groups of 20 people or more receive a discount offer (call the Crunch office).

The Crunch's next game is on Saturday, January 30 vs. Binghamton at 7:30 p.m. Season and single-game tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473-4444 or by stopping by the Crunch office in the War Memorial at Oncenter, located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.
