Crunch Announce Roster Moves

Syracuse, NY (October 29, 2011) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have recalled left wing J.F. Jacques and the Crunch have signed defenseman Brian O'Hanley to a professional tryout contract.

Jacques, 26, has appeared in six games for Syracuse this season, recording five points (3g 3a) and two penalty minutes. He appeared in three preseason contests with Anaheim before originally being assigned to Syracuse on September 29. Selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the second round, 68th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, he was acquired by the Ducks as a free agent on July 6, 2011.

O'Hanley, 26, has played three games with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL this year, recording two assists. He has played 208 career ECHL games with Fresno and Cincinnati totaling 72 points (14g, 58a) and 173 PIM. O' Hanley has played in 19 AHL games with Rochester and Portland, combining for three points (1g, 2a). He played 112 games in four years for Boston College, recording 25 points (6g, 19a) and 44 PIM. The San Jose Sharks originally selected O'Hanley in the ninth round, 267th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

The Crunch's next game is Saturday, Oct. 29 when the Crunch take on the Norfolk Admirals at the War Memorial.
