Countdown to Face-Off: Kalamazoo Wings at Elmira Jackals

The Kalamazoo Wings travel to the First Arena to battle the Elmira Jackals. Tonight is the first of six meetings between the teams this season and the first of three consecutive games this weekend. Five of the six meetings between the teams will be played at the First Arena.

Closing out a five-game home stand by winning back-to-back games for the first time this season, the K-Wings will hit the road looking for their first road win of the season. Tonight is the first road game for Kalamazoo, who is 0-2-0-0 away from Wings Stadium, since November 2nd.

Beginning a three-game home stand, Elmira returns to the First Arena looking to snap a streak. The Jackals enter tonight winless in their last three games. This evening is also just the fourth home game this season for Elmira, who is 1-2-0-0 at the First Arena.

Wannstrom Heads to Chicago

On Monday, forward Sebastian Wannstrom was reassigned by the St. Louis Blues to the AHL's Chicago Wolves. Wannstorm is the fourth member of the K-Wings this season to earn a call-up to the AHL.

Back on the Road

Friday will mark the second time this month and the third time this season that the K-Wings will play on the road. Kalamazoo is 0-2-0-0 away from Wings Stadium this season.

Heating Up Forward Yanni Gourde and Eric Kattelus are heating up. Both players start the week on three-game point streaks.

Atlantic Star Including tonight, Kalamazoo's next three games are against teams from the Atlantic Division. The K-Wings are 2-0-0-0 against Atlantic Division teams.
