Tonight's Matchup: The San Francisco Bulls (4-8-1-1) begin a two-game home stand when they face off against the Idaho Steelheads (7-4-1-1), tonight, at the Cow Palace. This is the fourth of five meetings between these clubs this season. Two of the three games needed more than 60 minutes to be decided. Idaho holds the edge in the season series, six points to two.

The last time these teams squared off the Steelheads won, 3-1. A goal from Chris Crane got the Bulls on the board first. Idaho responded by scoring three unanswered goals to skate away with the victory.

Two nights ago, San Francisco traveled to Stockton, where they lost to the Thunder, 5-1. Stockton grabbed the early lead, and never looked back. In the third period, Rob Linsmayer got the Bulls on the board with his second goal of the season. Kyle Bigos and Scott Langdon registered assists on the play. San Francisco didn't commit a single penalty in the game.

On Wednesday, the Bulls signed forward Tyler Gjurich. He enters his first season of professional hockey. Last year with the Buffalo Jr. Sabres of the Canadian juniors in Tier-II, he led the team with 97 points (53g, 44a) in 53 games. In addition, forward Brett Parnham has left to play in China and has been suspended by the team.

Forward William Rapuzzi is having a strong season for the Steelheads, and has played particularly well against the Bulls. He leads Idaho in assists (12), and is tied for second in points (14). His 12 assists are tied for the fourth most in the league. Additionally, his two goals on the year have both come against the Bulls.

The Steelheads have lost some key players in the past two days. Defenseman Ryan Button and goaltender Josh Robinson were reassigned to Idaho's AHL affiliate, the Texas Stars. Plus, defenseman Carl Sneep was suspended.

San Francisco is in a three-way tie for sixth place in the Western Conference with ten points. They are even with the Utah Grizzlies and Las Vegas Wranglers. Idaho is in fourth place in the Western Conference with 16 points, tied with the Colorado Eagles.

Tonight the Bulls celebrate Ghirardelli Chocolate Company Night. All fans in attendance receive a Ghirardelli chocolate square.

Tomorrow San Francisco is back in action to wrap up this weekend-set. They will be taking on the Utah Grizzlies at 7:30pm for a Cow Bell Giveaway for the first 1,000 fans. Plus, the SF Firefighters Local 798 is hosting a Toy Drive.
