
Philippe Cornet Recalled by San Antonio, Traded to Charlotte

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that the San Antonio Rampage have recalled Philippe Cornet and traded him to the Charlotte Checkers in exchange for rookie forward Adam Brace. Brace will report to Cincinnati.
Brace, a 25-year-old, has recorded two goals and four assists in 10 games with the Checkers in his first professional season. The 5-foot-10, 183-pound winger played in his first professional games last season with the Florida Everblades following three years at Robert Morris University (2010-13). Brace tallied one goal and five assists in four regular season games with the Everblades and led the club with 15 points (six goals, nine assists) in 13 games during the ECHL playoffs. The Cobden, Ontario native totaled 92 points (40 goals, 52 assists) in 102 games for Robert Morris and led the team with 41 points (14 goals, 27 assists) in 38 games during his senior year. Brace played his junior hockey for the Pembroke Lumber Kings of the CJHL and recorded 153 points (68 goals, 85 assists) in 104 games.
Cincinnati travels to Evansville tonight, with an 8:15pm ET opening face-off against the IceMen. Fans can hears the game on the Cyclones Radio Network (CyclonesHockey.com, America One, Cyclones Mobile App) beginning at 7:45pm ET.
