Estero, FL - G Garret Sparks stopped 32 of the 33 shots he faced to help Orland take down the Everblades 2-1 at the Germain Arena on Friday night. For Sparks, it was his second straight game against Florida with over 30 saves.

The Solar Bears notched the first goal of the contest with just 9.8 seconds remaining in the opening frame. Following a Florida penalty, forward C.J. Severyn tapped the puck off the faceoff to F Wade MacLeod who one-timed it past G Kristers Gudlevskis to put Orlando ahead 1-0.

After a scoreless second period, Florida evened up the game at 5:48 of the final frame. F Mathew Pistilli moved a pass to forward A.J. Jenks, and F Mathieu Roy snapped home a one-timer to even the score at 1-1. Orlando regained the lead with less than four minutes to play when a centering feed from F Tyler Murovich deflected off the skates of an Everblades defender and into the net to restore the Solar Bears lead. G Garret Sparks made a number of saves down the stretch to maintain the advantage, as Orlando held off Florida to collect their second straight 2-1 win over the Everblades.
