Greenville, SC: The Road Warriors won their second home game of the season and continue their point streak to four games in a 2-1 regulation win over Gwinnett. Jeff Malcolm stayed hot in net making 44 saves.

In the first period, the Road Warriors dominated Gwinnett with 21 shots on goal. Gladiator goaltender Louis Domingue held off any Road Warrior advances. Road Warriors netminder Malcolm saw nine shots in the first and held Gwinnett scoreless as well.

The Road Warriors had an explosive start in the second period with Mike Marcou scoring the first goal of the game on a five hole shot just 36 seconds into the period. The Road Warriors continued to pressure Domingue and Andrew Rowe scored off a breakaway pass from Marc-Olivier Vallerand's to bring the Road Warriors up 2-0. Jeff Malcolm held off the Gladiators the remainder of the period to keep Greenville up by two going into intermission.

The Road Warriors continued the offensive pressure in the third with 12 shots on goal, however Domingue stopped the Road Warriors from scoring any additional goals. Just over five minutes into the third, Kurtis Bartliff scored a goal by batting the puck out of mid-air to bring the game to a 2-1 score. Domingue was pulled in the closing minutes in an attempt to the tie the game but Gwinnett was unsuccessful and the Road Warriors walked away with a 2-1 win.

Get in the holiday spirit and join the Greenville Road Warriors for the 4th annual Teddy Bear Toss game on December 13th presented by WSSL. Bring a stuffed animal to the game to throw on the ice after the Road Warriors score their first goal. The Road Warriors are looking to beat last season's donation of over 2,000 stuffed animals and encourage fans of all ages to come out to the game for some great fun and to help a great cause! All stuffed animals collected will be donated to Toys For Tots. On Saturday, December 14, Road Warriors players, joined by members of the U.S. Marine Corps, will deliver the stuffed animals to Sitton Buick on Laurens Road where they will then be donated to children in need.
