The Tampa Bay Rays have made the following moves affecting the roster of Double-A Montgomery prior to Thursday night's game at Tennessee:
INF Fernando Cortez activated from the Temporarily Inactive List...OF Pedro Powell transferred to the Hudson Valley (Short-A) roster [24 + 1]
The corresponding moves keep the Biscuits at the Southern League maximum of 24 active players. One player (Jason Perry) is currently on the Disabled List.
