Chattanooga Lookouts News Release

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Huntsville starting pitcher Mike Jones combined with two relievers to shutout the Lookouts in a 3-0 victory in Thursday night action at AT&T Field.

Huntsville took the early lead by plating two in the first. With one out, Shane Justis started the rally with a triple and scampered home on a subsequent Drew T. Anderson double. After a Kevin Melillo walk, Jonathan Lucroy ripped a double in the left-center field gap to score Anderson.

The Stars added another run in the third on an Anderson RBI double, which was prefaced by a Shane Justis walk. On the mound, Huntsville starting pitcher Mike Jones (2-3) pitched a gem. In six innings of work, he surrendered just three hits and one walk, while striking out four.

The Stars' bullpen did not skip a beat and was able to preserve the shutout for Jones. Robert Wooten picked up his third save of the season for Huntsville by pitching the ninth.

J.D. Durbin (1-3) took the loss for the Lookouts. He pitched five innings and yielded three runs on five hits and two walks. He struck out one in the losing effort.
