Condors to Give Away Cemetery Plots Friday and Basketballs Saturday

CONDORSTOWN - The Bakersfield Condors, ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, return to the Dignity Health Home Ice at Rabobank Arena for two big games and two even bigger promotions this weekend featuring the first-ever cemetery plot giveaway and a Lakers v. Clippers basketball giveaway for Condorstown supremacy.
The team has won eight of their last nine games on home ice!
Cemetery Plot Giveaway v. Utah
Friday, January 31 at 7 p.m.; doors open at 6 p.m. (5:45 for season ticket holders) Presented by Historic Union Cemetery and 95.3 JACK FM Everyone in attendance will have the opportunity of a lifetime, or should we say "post-lifetime," to win two cemetery plots at Historic Union Cemetery valued at over $5,000 In this instance, sudden death is the last thing we want to see Cremation services available upon request Winners will be announced during the third period This promotion has already received rousing national attention including Yahoo! Lakers v. Clippers Basketball Giveaway v. Utah
Saturday, February 1 at 7 p.m.; doors open at 6 p.m. (5:45 for season ticket holders) Presented by KERN 1180 AM First 2,000 kids, 17 & under, will get their choice of a Lakers or Clippers mini-basketball Whichever team runs out first will be declared the city's favorite Wear your Lakers or Clippers gear to the game to show your support The SJCH in-house kids hockey program will skate during the first intermission Golden Tiger Karate will perform during the second intermission by fundraising with the Condors. Limited tickets remain for one of the most anticipated nights of the season, Tip A Condor presented by 98.5 The Fox. This year's event returns to Firehouse, located at 7701 White Lane, on Tues. January 28 from 5-8 p.m. Every year Condors players trade their hockey gear in and become waiters, all in the name of a good cause. There will be tremendous auction items available to bid on and fans can interact with the players playing games, taking pictures, and more as the guys collect tips for the Kern County Shrine Club.
