Stockton Thunder News Release

Stockton, Calif. - Goaltender Parker Milner has been assigned to the Stockton Thunder by the team's American Hockey League affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Rich Kromm announced Tuesday. It's the third stint in the ECHL for the rookie goalie this season.

Milner recently made four appearances in the AHL after being recalled by Bridgeport on January 8. The 23-year-old Pittsburgh, PA native won all three games he started during a streak where the Sound Tigers won five out of seven games. Milner posted a .916 save percentage in his four most recent appearances, and has an overall record of 4-2-0 with a .904 save percentage in eight total games for Bridgeport this season.

In the ECHL, the former Boston College goalie has gone 3-6-0 with a .913 save percentage and a 2.69 goals against average. Milner has won his last two starts in a row for the Thunder, posting a shutout in his most recent game against the San Francisco Bulls on January 4.

With the addition of Milner, the Thunder now have two goaltenders under contract on the roster. Following Milner's call-up, Brian Foster had made eight straight starts for the Thunder while being backed up by emergency back-up goalies. Foster posted a 4-3-1 record in that span.

The Thunder's next home game is on Saturday, February 1, against the Colorado Eagles during the team's "Hockey With Heart" event. The Thunder will be working with Heart Walk teams in the area to raise money with proceeds from the event going to the American Heart Association. For more information visit StocktonThunder.com.
