Bakersfield Condors News Release
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors (13-13-1-0, 27pts) climbed back to .500 with a 1-0 win over the Stockton Thunder (12-9-1-3, 28pts) in front of 5,231 fans at Rabobank Arena on Sunday Night.
The first period ended scoreless, despite good action at both ends. Condors G Josh Tordjman stopped all 13 shots he faced in the frame. The Condors more than tripled their shooting efforts in the second period by throwing 11 shots on G Garrett Zemlak, but came away with the same scoreless result. Both teams were 0-3 on the man advantage after the second period.
The scoreless tie was broken with just 1:17 left in the game. D Evan Stoflet dialed up a wrist shot from the right point and slipped the puck through the legs of Zemlak to help the Condors seize the victory. Tordjman saved a flurry of shots at the end of the period as the Condors held on for the 1-0 win.
