ECHL Attendance Surpasses One-Million Mark

The ECHL surpassed the one-million mark in attendance last week, and average attendance for the season sits at just under 4,000 per game entering the final week of 2010.

Ontario had 6,296 fans for its only game of the week on Sunday and leads the league with an average of 6,237. The Reign, which led the ECHL in attendance last season with 6,451 per game, have had at least 5,000 fans for 13 of their 14 home games this season.

Bakersfield welcomed its third-largest crowd of the season on Sunday with 5,231 at Rabobank Arena. The Condors will host the 2011 ECHL All-Star Classic on Wednesday, Jan. 26.

Toledo had its sixth crowd over 6,000 this season on Sunday against Kalamazoo. The Walleye are third in the league with an average of 5,501 per game.

Stockton is second in the league with 6,049 per game through 12 home games. The Thunder led the ECHL in attendance from 2005-09 becoming the first team to lead in attendance four years in a row since Florida set the league record with five straight years from 2000-05. Stockton has averaged over 6,000 fans per game in each of its five seasons in the league.

Elmira leads the ECHL this season with six sellouts in 17 games. The Jackals are averaging 93.6 percent of capacity at First Arena.

Elmira Jackals · The Jackals lead the league with 3.81 goals per game.

· Justin Donati is second in the league with 36 points (10g-26a).

Reading Royals

· The Royals are 10-2-0 in their last 12 road games.

· Matt Caruana and Ryan Cruthers share the team lead with three game winning goals.

· Reading hosts Florida on Tuesday and Thursday.

Trenton Devils

· Trenton leads the league with 35.42 shots per game.

· Rookie Ryan Hayes leads the team with nine power play points (4g- 5a).

· The Devils host Elmira on Wednesday and Florida on Friday and Saturday.

North Division

Cincinnati Cyclones

· The Cyclones are 10-2-3 when allowing three goals or less.

· Barret Ehgoetz will play in his team-record 300th career game with the Cyclones on Tuesday.

· Cincinnati hosts Toledo on Tuesday and visits the Walleye on Saturday.

Kalamazoo Wings

· The K-Wings are 6-1-1 when leading after two periods.

· Sam Ftorek leads the team with 19 assists.

· Kalamazoo plays at Toledo on Wednesday and hosts Elmira on Friday and Saturday.

Toledo Walleye

· Toledo is second in the league with 34.74 shots per game.

· Rookie Zack Torquato leads the team with 17 assists.

· The Walleye are at Cincinnati on Tuesday and host Kalamazoo on Wednesday and Cincinnati on Saturday.

Wheeling Nailers

· The Nailers rank fourth in the league with 3.43 goals per game.

· Rookie Ben Street leads the team with 29 points (12g- 17a).

· Wheeling is at Gwinnett on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and at Greenville on Sunday.

South Division

Florida Everblades

· The Everblades are 15-0-0 when leading after two periods.

· Mitch Fadden leads the team with 31 assists.

· The Everblades are at Reading on Tuesday and Thursday and at Trenton on Friday and Saturday.

Greenville Road Warriors

· The Road Warriors rank first in the league with 42 points (20-6-2).

· Marc-Olivier Vallerand is tied for first among rookies with 13 goals.

· Greenville hosts South Carolina on Monday, is at South Carolina on Wednesday and Friday and hosts Wheeling on Sunday.

Gwinnett Gladiators

· Michael Forney leads the team with 23 points (5g- 18a).

· The Gladiators are 9-0-0 when leading after two periods.

· Gwinnett hosts Wheeling on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and travels to South Carolina on Sunday.

South Carolina Stingrays

· South Carolina is on a five-game winning streak.

· Todd Ford is fourth with a 2.26 goals-against average.

· The Stingrays are at Greenville on Monday, host the Road Warriors on Wednesday and Friday and host Gwinnett on Sunday.

Mountain Division

Alaska Aces

· The Aces are 10-3-1 when scoring first.

· Wes Goldie is tied for second in the ECHL with 15 goals.

· Alaska hosts Idaho on Tuesday and Wednesday and Ontario on Friday and Saturday.

Idaho Steelheads

· The Steelheads are 9-0-0 when leading after two periods.

· Mark Derlago leads the team with 15 goals.

· The Steelheads are at Alaska on Tuesday and Wednesday and host Bakersfield on Friday and Saturday.

Utah Grizzlies

· Utah is 12-0-1 when leading after two periods.

· Tim Crowder leads the team with 19 points (8g-11a).

· The Grizzlies are at Las Vegas on Monday and host Bakersfield on Wednesday and Victoria on Friday and Saturday.

Victoria Salmon Kings

· The Salmon Kings have gathered 13 of a possible 16 points in their last eight road games.

· Matt Siddall leads the team with 14 goals.

· Victoria hosts Ontario on Tuesday and Wednesday and travels to Utah on Friday and Saturday.

Pacific Division

Bakersfield Condors

· Josh Tordjman has won five consecutive starts.

· Bakersfield has allowed one goal or less in four consecutive games.

Las Vegas Wranglers

· The Wranglers are 11-1-2 when leading after two periods.

· Ryan Huddy leads the team with 11 goals.

· Las Vegas hosts Utah on Monday and is at Stockton on Wednesday and Thursday

Ontario Reign

· Kellen Briggs leads the league in minutes played (1,320) and saves (693).

· Jeff Corey leads the team with nine goals.

Stockton Thunder
